Is your Credit Card

Processor Secured?

Since 2008 all credit cards systems must comply with the latest security implementations called PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) in order to protect customer's card data.

What it does mean?  If you are processing credit cards through your POS system the POS software must encrypt all the data that is read from the customer credit card and stored in your database, in simple language: when the customer's credit card is read by the system all the information before is stored or transmitted the program must be able to make it unreadable to anyone except those possessing special knowledge to read it back (it could contain characters, numbers and signs).

This entire process will protect your customer's information and prevent anybody from cloning, selling or using the information and it will protect the integrity of your business avoiding any legal procedures against you.

Consult with your Credit Card provider or with your POS company regarding this serious matter.
